With Trump back in the White House from January 20th 2025, South Korea will find itself alone. This will be especially true if the flabby dictator of NK is able to restrain himself until China invades Taiwan, at which point - given the inevitable US withdrawal - SK will surrender rather than risk the destruction of Seoul. I'm unclear why people seem not to understand that the USA is already finished. Its theoretical military capabilities (now rapidly becoming out-of-date) are meaningless when the political system has collapsed into total and irredeemable dysfunction (e.g. the inevitable final state of any qualification-free system of large-scale action).
