Wormholes are much beloved of scifi writers because they appear to provide the “necessary magic” for all space cowboy movies wherein their metal horses can roam free across the vast prairies of spacetime untroubled by relativistic effects and unconstrained by distance.
Unfortunately the equations show something rather different: the Einstein-Rosen bridge between a pair of entangled black holes expands faster than it can be traversed.
