Yes, there are always exceptions. But the Quakers didn’t succeed, whereas several brave individuals did achieve some measure of success in saving Jews in Hungary, Poland, etc. The point isn’t that all religionsts will always support all tyrannies; it is merely that in general religionists will make common ground with tyrannies because they both operate under the same type of belief system.
